This young boy was 9 years old when he began Soma. He was born with a syndrome called Charco Marie Tous (CMT), which resulted in walking problems and the need to wear special orthotics. His gait was unsteady, and as a result, he suffered from low self-esteem and a high level of self-consciousness. But, after 10 sessions, he had changed dramatically. His mother says it best:

"I was so pleased with the changes in my body and my life after Soma, I wanted my son to experience the benefits! (In the past) he was last in his class in the one-mile run, but after Soma he was 18 out of 23! He felt so happy. His gait seems more "normal." He seems smarter and more creative than before - - straight A's last trimester and is drawing more. He also seems more confident, and at ease with his body. I highly recommend Soma for children!"

The drawing to the left is Scott's depiction of himself before Session 1. Notice how off-balanced he is in general, and also that his head and neck are quite off-center. The drawing to the right is Scott's depiction of himself after 10. Here, he is much more balanced, energetic (yellow), and in motion.

"We enrolled Jessica in SOMA because of her very flat feet. Even though her feet are still flat they aren't as flat, and the other things that have come out of it are just what I had hoped.

Jessica is a new girl since going through SOMA. People that haven't seen her in awhile ask what she's done. She doesn't walk where she goes now, she runs! She is more outgoing than before and more adventurous. We went camping a month ago and when we got to the top of the hill she looked down at the camp and said, 'Mom, you know I wouldn't have been able to do this if I didn't do SOMA.'

I look at her walk and she looks more in control of her movements (like a ballerina) instead of looking unsure of the next step. I am so thankful."
